About the Development:
Baranona is an artificial intelligence app developed by Chiba Institute of Technologys Artificial Intelligence and Software Technology Research Center (STAIR Lab). Just as infants learn the names of things by being taught by people around them, computers can now learn the names of things by being shown numerous examples. The key lies in extensive training data and deep learning. Baranona was developed using approximately 53,000 images of roses collected with the cooperation of the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association and Jindai Botanical Gardens app users for the smartphone app "JindaiBaraKore".
